Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position based at the Hermosa Project Site near Patagonia, AZ.

 

As Lead, Project Engineer you will be responsible for developing the interface management plan and creates the processes to implement and control interfaces between project teams. 

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 
•    Leads and facilitates the Hermosa Project Execution MOS for the project and owns the supporting data to ensure single source of truth; 
•    Develops and manages key business processes and sets cadence for MOS meetings and deliverables;
•    Works with project teams to ensure agreed targets are achieved and RACI's are followed;
•    Ensure issues and opportunities are raised and actions tracked
•    Ensure project integrated master schedule adherence
•    Establish and monitor points of accountability for interface management for the project leadership team
•    Identify interface issues between project team and contractors and establish and monitor corre
