Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experiences SoftwareDeveloper to join our team of qualified, and diverse individuals.

This position is full time On-Site in Tallahassee, Florida. 

FDACS, Division of Food, Nutrition, and Wellness (FNW), is seeking a Systems Software Programmer to provide analysis, development, modification, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software applications. This will involve evaluating software packages, application deployment, modifying and debugging source code, utilities, and packages as well as preparing technical documentation for software applications. Provide application development related tasks for business processes performed by FNW or that are expected to result from new business needs and/or legislative changes. The Systems Software Programmer will complete a series of tasks needed to maintain the FNW applications.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing, and maintenance of operating systems software
• Possesses a strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces, and control languages
• Evaluates vendor-supplied software packages and makes recommendations to IT management
• Modifies and/or debugs vendor-supplied utilities and packages
• Modifies, installs, and prepares technical documentation for system software applications
• Diagnoses, isolates, and debugs software problems and performs problem resolution
• Monitors systems capacity and performance
• Plans and executes disaster recovery procedures
• Provides Tier 2 technical support

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or an Associates degree and 7 years of experience or a High School Diploma and 9 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in translating functional specifications into technical specifications for programmers to construct solutions
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining applications and business intelligence systems of similar size and complexity
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing and implementing customized Microsoft .NET applications (Visual Studio 2013 or higher) using SQL Server database (RDBMS)
• Minimum 5 years of experience with development and release management using multiple code branches in Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS)
• Minimum 5 years of experience programming in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Microsoft Framework 4, HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, MS SQL Server, MVC, WCF, WEBAPI, Entity Framework, nHibernate, and the latest Microsoft technologies (.NetCore1.0, Mono, etc.)
• Minimum 5 years of experience using Google Maps API and other geocoding applications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in workflow and routing
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing WCF application servers and implementing Web APIs
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ORM frameworks like nHibernate
• Minimum 5 years of experience with AngularJS, jQuery, JSON, Bootstrap, and MVC
• Minimum 5 years of experience programming imaging toolkits like gdPicture
• Minimum 5 years of experience with version control, branching, release management, and code management using TFS/Git
• Minimum 5 years of experience generating reports using SSRS/Active Reports
• Minimum 5 years of experience with a form builder application
• Minimum 5 years of experience implementing systems using role-based security
• Minimum 5 years of experience implementing 3-Tier Architecture solutions
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with various stakeholders and team members to understand requirements, understand data needs, and resolve issues
• Minimum 5 years of experience creating technical documentation
