-The Scientific Communications Manager will support the strategic planning and development of all publications within scope of assigned TA. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to facilitating the publication planning process, and the development of scientific platforms and lexicons with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, she will assist in the development of any additional scientific content, editorial review of documents, document tracking in Datavision, and assisting w reporting and monitoring processes. She will be viewed as a publication professional with great understanding of GPP3 and ICMJE to foster compliant development of accurate and timely publications. These activities will support the Global Medical Affairs plans and Otsuka organizational objectives
Qualifications/ Required
Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:
- 5+ yrs experience in publication planning and development in a pharmaceutical environment required
- Ability to critically analyze and interpret data
- Ability to understand and comply with all regulations established by PHRMA, FDA, OIG, and ICJME
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be well organized and able to multi-task
- Prioritizes workload and makes an accurate determination of timeframe for project completion
- Effectively communicates with team members and stakeholders regarding the planning and development of all sci comm deliverables, including the management of agency partners and the associated budgets
- Ability to travel 25% to cover team meetings, and conferences
Educational Qualifications
- MS or MA Degree in a scientific field required; advanced degree preferred, PhD, PharmD
