Senior Java Engineer, Proactive Analytics (f/m/d)

In this role, you’ll be working within the Proactive Analytics pod, where we build features that bring forward a new way of looking at data - automating the analysis and surfacing insights to our clients (also known as Augmented Analytics) as a part of the Adverity product. You will have a chance to work with smart and driven engineers and data scientists. You are the right fit if you have experience with software at various maturity levels and can prioritize building the right thing and building it right.

This is a full-time position, where you can work fully remote or from our offices in Vienna, Sofia or Katowice.

Some of the things you’ll work on:

• Help us shape and implement high-impact features for our growing customer base.
• Actively participate in architectural design and work on the key components.
• Get your hands dirty with infrastructure and build engineering topics.
• Eagerly improve the performance of our products.
• Take ownership of the features you’ll be working on.
• Document decisions that have a significant impact on the architecture and productivity of engineers.

We’re excited if you have:

• A vast experience in JVM platform programming languages, preferably some experience with Kotlin used on the backend side.
• Expertise in integration and operational aspects of distributed systems.
• Proficiency and extensive experience in using Spring Boot and its modules (the more, the better).
• Ability to perform in-depth code reviews. Beyond checking the correctness and cleanness of code, you’re able to connect the dots and focus on the bigger picture.
• Good understanding of various data stores and optimal ways of interacting with them.
• DevOps attitude and hands-on mentality.
• Agile mindset and willingness to work in a self-organizing team.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge and experience with distributed systems.
• Ability to handle and reason about high-volume, high-dimensional data from varying sources.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Gradle.
• Familiarity with asynchronous, reactive, resilience and non-blocking aspects of system integrations.

If this position is filled in Vienna, the minimum salary denoted for legal reasons and according to the collective agreement (IT KV) is €44.660. If this vacancy is filled anywhere else, the salary will differ. In any case, we offer competitive salaries depending on your qualifications and experience.
