Hiring Range: $225.00 – $255.00 per hour

Actual pay depends on specialty, experience, and performance

Riverside Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part- Time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Virginia.

Riverside Walter Reed Hospital is a 67-bed hospital with an 11-bed emergency department serving over 25,000 patients annually.  The hospital is a DNV accredited Primary Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center certified by the American College of Cardiology.

👨‍⚕️ In Your Role (should be for the specialty- below is internal Medicine focus)

You will provide comprehensive care for adult patients, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient care services as part of a collaborative healthcare team
  • Performing comprehensive history and physical assessments
  • Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic labs and tests
  • Developing and evaluating individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
  • Coordinating specialty referrals and consultations
  • Recognizing and responding to emergent situations with life-saving interventions
  • Educating patients and families on health maintenance
  • Advocating patients’ rights and diverse needs
  • Participating in clinic meetings and daily safety huddles
  • Engaging in continuing medical education and professional development
  • Demonstrating leadership, mentorship, and evidence-based practice
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance and documentation standards

 Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (Doctor of Medicine) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Current, valid medical license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
