Seeking ER Tech!

Baptist Health Floyd, Emergency Department

Part-Time (24 Hours/Week), Days (7a-7p)

What You'll Do:

The Emergency Room Technician, ER Tech functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care. Responsibilities include triaging patients, call lights, helping set up procedures while maintaining sterile fields, cleaning and dressing wounds, assisting with casting & splinting, collecting swabs such as flu & strep, transporting patients, performing EKGs, as well as assisting with resuscitations and phlebotomy.
 

Where You'll Be:

The Emergency Department (ED) has 41 beds divided between two pods with 37 private rooms.  A split-flow area is located near main triage and provides care to lower acuity patients. This fast-paced ED treats an average of 160+ patients per day.  ED staff encounter a wide variety of patients including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries and psychiatric patients.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• BLS certification; Will provide training
