General Summary:
We are looking for someone that is outgoing, client service focused, and willing to go the extra mile to improve the client experience. Prior veterinary or medical experience preferred but not required. Working as part of a team you will be responsible for making our clients feel important. Requirements for this position include but are not limited to answering a multi-line telephone, calling back clients, client education, scheduling appointments, checking clients in/out, assisting with hospital cleaning and maintenance, as well as many other day to day tasks associated with running a fast paced, efficient practice.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs all functions of a receptionist expertly.
- Report any personnel issues to PM
- Maintains a clean, safe and professional work environment.
- Ensures that adequate supplies are maintained.
- Notify PM of any broken equipment or missing supplies
- Ensures statistics/reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensures that checklists and daily housekeeping tasks are completed and initialed.
- Assists doctors and management staff as requested.
- Ensures that confirmations, scanning and shredding are completed on a daily basis.
- All other responsibilities as assigned.
- Understanding and usage of email and all other client communication tools
- Properly documents all communication and medical records in our PIMs
- Accurately count and reconcile cash drawer
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Organized and meticulous.
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terms and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Patience and respect for clients, patients, and employees.
- Ability to deal with fast pace and stressful situations.
Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking 50% of the time.
- Computer work.
- High stress environment.
