Associate Director, Field Analytics

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Analytics and Insights, the AD, Field Analytics role requires strategic thinking and analytical expertise to provide critical contributions in support of Revolution Medicines’ field teams.  You’ll collaborate closely with Sales Operations and field leadership, as well as the broader Commercial organization, to inform and develop field metrics, tools, incentive compensation, and strategy. This position is based out of our headquarters in Redwood City, CA.

Responsibilities may include:

• Develops KPIs and performance reporting including design and implementation of field facing dashboards and reports.

• Develops and communicate a thorough understanding of regional (area, region and territory) performance and opportunities based on a variety of inputs.

• Conducts analytics projects to inform a range of business issues and strategic decisions (targeting, salesforce optimization, etc.) related to salesforce design and deployment.

• Partners with Sales Operations and Field leaders to train field forces.

• Collaborates with Commercial Analytics team to explore opportunities to incorporate novel technologies and approaches to improve field execution and efficiency.

• Participates in cross-functional teams to gather input for functional activities, and ensure alignment e.g., with Sales Operations, HR, IS.

• Delivers operating expenses within budget.

• Travels as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required with 4-5 years of progressive experience in sales and data analytics in pharmaceuticals or biopharma.

• Experience in new product launches.

• Experience with claims data, distributor data, and other data sources/platforms.

• Experience with Veeva and data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)_

• Track record of being a collaborative team player, and adaptive to meet the needs of a growing business.

• Strong problem solver with experience leveraging a variety of data sources, platforms, and analytical vendors.

• Demonstrated ability to influence senior management and key business partners. 

• Proven experience in a smaller, rapidly growing, company.

• Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.

• Ability to represent Revolution Medicines well: strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, with a tolerance for ambiguity, and a passion for helping cancer patients.

Preferred Skills:

• Oral Oncolytic product experience strongly preferred.

• Experience developing and building reporting dashboards.

• Experience working with Veeva and collaborating with field teams on design needs.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $182,000 to $210,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
