Job Description
Experian IT Services are currently recruiting for a Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer / Database Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
- DB2 system parameter changes
- DB2 and ISV software installation
- Application Database Changes & Performance Monitoring
- Acceptance and Integration of Application Changes
- DB2 New Function / Product Evaluation
- ITIL process relating to Incident, Change and Problem Management
- Responsible for DB2 System Level Recovery and DR testing procedures
- Responsible for capacity planning and tuning of DB2 applications
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on DB2 zOS system performance
- Responsible for capacity planning and tuning of DB2 applications
- Experience with BMC tools configuration and maintenance
- Experience with DB2 Zos replication and troubleshooting issues
- Document/maintain software inventory of DB2 tools and their installation procedures
- Evaluate DB2 tools to exploit features and improve productivity
- Monitor and apprise management on EOS of existing tools and take proactive action
- On call support averaging 1/4 weekends.
Qualifications
- Experience with DB2 V12 zOS migration/upgrade/function level upgrades
- Any experience with ADABAS or M204 is desirable but not essential
