Job Summary

This position will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of coaching, recruiting, and administering within the field hockey program. Implements coaching strategies and methods to help student-athletes’ growth in athletic, interpersonal, academic, and teamwork skills; analyzes performance of team and adjusts strategies as needed; plans and conducts practices and other activities in preparation for competition; and actively recruits competitive and qualified individuals.

Key Outcomes

65% of Time:  Assist in the organization and supervision of practices and games.

• Organize, design, and write practice plans

• Properly set-up and lead practices

• Organize team scouts to support team preparation for games

35% of Time:  Assist with the implementation of a successful recruiting program to attract outstanding student-athletes in-region and out of region.

• Call, text, and email prospective student-athletes.

• Attend regional and national recruiting events.

• Schedule and organize recruit visits weekly.
