Orthodontic Assistant at Idaho Orthodontics

Position Overview:
The Orthodontic Assistant plays a key role in supporting the orthodontist during clinical procedures and ensuring a smooth, efficient flow in the clinic. This position involves direct patient care, hands-on orthodontic work, and teamwork with the clinical and front office teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and treatment areas for orthodontic procedures
   
• Assist the orthodontist with adjustments, bonding, and other chairside procedures
   
• Take digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and impressions/scans (iTero experience a plus)
   
• Sterilize and maintain instruments and operatories
   
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
   
• Track patient progress and update charts accurately
   
• Manage inventory and maintain proper stock levels of clinical supplies
   
• Support a positive and professional patient experience at every visit
   

Qualifications:

• Orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred (will train the right candidate)
   
• Current [State] Dental Assistant Certification and X-ray license (required)
   
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
