In This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and continuously improving virtual events and engagement programs that support business priorities and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture. You will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-quality events, manage operational details, and ensure strong communication and engagement outcomes.
You will own events end-to-end—from concept and planning through execution, promotion, and post-event reporting—while managing budgets, vendors, and success metrics. The role also includes supporting internal communications, collaborating with employee groups, and engaging with community partners such as nonprofits and universities. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute virtual events, meetings, and engagement programs from start to finish
- Partner with internal stakeholders (business operations, HR, finance, communications, legal, and employee groups) to align events with business and culture goals
- Manage event logistics, including scheduling, venue coordination, vendors, contracts, and on-site execution
- Own budget planning, tracking, expense reporting, and financial reconciliation for events and programs
- Develop and manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, contracts, and performance oversight
- Support internal communications and promotions, including newsletters, event announcements, and internal platforms
- Track and report on success metrics such as attendance, engagement, feedback, and budget adherence
- Collaborate with external partners including nonprofits, universities, and community organizations
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, documentation, and operational best practices
- Contribute to building and sustaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging site culture
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in event coordination, event management, or operations roles
- Strong experience managing event logistics and execution for internal and/or external events
- Proven ability to manage budgets, expenses, and financial reporting
- Experience working with vendors and contracts, including negotiation and coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including internal messaging and stakeholder updates
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and matrixed teams
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with high attention to detail
- Professional judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
- Ability to work onsite 4 days per week in Redmond, WA.
