What You’ll Do: 

  • Define, implement, and champion key data initiatives for Upgrade’s internal and external data users
  • Manage and prioritize Business Intelligence and Data Engineering roadmaps serving the entire org
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the business to understand data needs and issues
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers in building an effective, efficient and scalable data and reporting layer/infrastructure for the org
  • Analyze the impact of data features and define key metrics for success
  • Develop highly technical as well as non-technical product solutions beyond data



 What We Look For:

  • 5+ years of data product management or 7+ years of Analytics/Engineering experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Fluency with SQL, product development tools, and reporting and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Experience building/working with cloud based relational databases a major plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill data requirements from multiple stakeholders across multiple products and articulate them in simple ways
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, as well as manage diverse stakeholders 



 Nice to Have:

  • Expertise in Financial Services with consumer banking/payments Fintech preferred.
  • Experience with Redshift and/or Snowflake

The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $175,000 - $195,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Upgrade has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States and Canada, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range could vary depending on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.
