About this Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the full execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of assigned construction projects. This role owns project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and field execution to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements and company standards.

 

The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and external stakeholders, leads coordination across field leadership, subcontractors, and internal support teams, and actively manages risk, change, and performance from contract award through project closeout.

 

Pay: This is an exempt, salaried position. The pay range is: $100,000 – $145,000.Compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience.

 

Location/Travel Requirements: Position is based on‑site at project locations in North Dakota and may require extended assignments at a single location or travel between job sites, as business needs demand.

What You'll Do

  • Own project execution from award through closeout, including schedule, cost, and margin performance
  • Lead contract administration activities including RFIs, change management/change orders, and documentation
  • Build, manage, and recover project schedules; lead planning and coordination with field leadership and subcontractors
  • Manage project financial controls including forecasting, cost tracking, and job health reporting
  • Lead internal and external project meetings; communicate status, risks, and action plans clearly
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, representing Brink with professionalism and ensuring strong, ongoing relationships throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead client interactions including meetings, updates, and issue resolution, ensuring clear communication, alignment on expectations, and timely response to project needs
  • Coordinate procurement, buyout, and material planning to support field execution
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety, quality, and contract requirements
  • Mentor and provide direction to Assistant Project Managers and project support staff
  • Support invoicing and client‑facing documentation required for payment and change recovery

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction projects with direct accountability for schedule, cost, and execution outcomes
  • Experience leading contract administration, including RFIs and change orders
  • Industry experience in power delivery construction (transmission, distribution, or substation)
  • Practical understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work within project management and scheduling systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required by project assignments 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong cost and business acumen, including forecasting vs. actuals and margin protection
  • Experience leading distributed teams across multiple project locations
  • Strong change management and issue‑resolution skills
  • Leadership capability to mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers
  • Clear, professional communication skills with clients, field teams, and internal stakeholders 

This job requires a DOT physical and a current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
