We are looking for a Research Associate II (In Vivo) to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in South San Francisco, CA.

What you will do!
This critical role will be responsible for performing required in vivo techniques and for helping to advance the client's drug research and development pipeline. A successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and prior hands-on experience with in-vivo animal laboratory techniques. Responsibilities will include routine husbandry, technical support, and assistance in various in-vivo research projects. You will also need to demonstrate proficiency in basic in-vivo laboratory techniques, including blood collection, injections and tissue processing. Participate in experimental design and planning as well as assemble, set up, and operate any necessary experimental equipment. Conduct laboratory procedures in compliance with established protocols/plans and with regulatory and laboratory requirements. Maintain accurate records of animal health/welfare and experimental procedures as well as prepare data for inclusion in project reports. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and understanding in his/her assigned area of responsibility. You will also need the ability to manage small studies and train staff independently. You will need to be able to perform the following techniques: Oral gavage in rodents; IV, SQ, IP, IM injection techniques in rodents. Blood collection techniques to include tail vein in rodents, orbital sinus in rodents and cardiac in rodents; Necropsy and tissue collection. Experience using various cell and molecular biology techniques to examine cell/tissue and biomaterial interactions.
Job Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
A candidate that possesses a Bachelor's of Science or Associate of Science degree in a Life Science discipline, such as biology, veterinary science, or a related field and four (4) years related experience; OR a CVT/LVT/RVT certification and four (4) years directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above; OR a High School diploma/GED and six (6) years directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above required. NOTE: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. AALAS Certification at the LATG level preferred.
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - 41.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
