Indian River Hospital’s 4 East Unit is a Medical/Surgical Unit that provides exceptional care to diverse populations of patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. As an RN on this team, you will learn and enhance your nursing skills through hands-on patient care experiences. You will join a family of caregivers who are engaged, highly communicative, and dedicated. All the while, you will be encouraged to pursue personal and professional development opportunities within Cleveland Clinic
A caregiver in this position works days from 6:45AM – 7:15PM, with weekend and holiday requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
