Job Description

The Service NPI Program Manager works within the Service Logistics Organization at Arista, and plays a key role in enabling the success of Arista’s post-sales Support offerings, which includes Warranty, Same Day, and Next Business Day delivery of critical spare parts to Arista’s end customers.   The Service Logistics Organization within Arista is responsible for Arista’s Service Supply Chain, including Arista’s global network of service depots; planning of spare parts inventory across those depots; rapid delivery of hardware replacements to end customers; reverse logistics of RMA returns from customers; and the repair and reuse of customer-returned inventory.  

Working within Arista’s Service Planning team, the Service NPI Program Manager represents the Service Logistics organization in new product development, driving early engagement with R&D teams, influencing cross-functional teams to incorporate service requirements, developing Service NPI Plans for products prior to their release, and transitioning those new products to Sustaining teams after launch.

  • Develop Service NPI Plans for new products
  • Determine service requirements and spare parts stocking strategy for new products as they are developed by Arista’s R&D teams
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Product Operations, Support, Manufacturing, and Repair Operations to ensure Serviceability requirements are incorporated into new products. 
  • Work at all levels of Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Product Leadership,  internally and externally, starting with product development through to volume ramp, to enable scalable support and service for new products
  • Collaborate with Service Planning and Repair Operations to ensure depot stocking strategies are optimized and defined. Ensure spare stocking strategies and Repair capabilities are documented from a product substitution, product chaining, product conversion perspective.
  • Analyse marketing forecast and understand target customers to determine initial stocking requirements for spares and future spares demand.  Publish initial stocking requirements to NPI teams and future spares forecasts to Manufacturing to ensure service supply requirements are achieved
  • Maintain and publish the Service NPI roadmap on a monthly basis and follow through any open action items with cross functional teams
  • Signing off on Engineering Change Orders for new product releases
  • Collaborate with peers to develop processes across Arista’s Service Supply Chain, including RMA Management, Inventory Management, Depot Operations, and Repair Operations
  • Analyse current processes and proactively seek opportunities to identify and implement solutions that will improve processes and support critical business strategies.
  • Collaborate with peers in the development of systems and tools across Arista’s Service Supply Chains

Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing or service operations related roles
  • Knowledge of overall supply chain concepts - including New Product Introduction, inventory planning, inventory management, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics
  • Experience in the high-tech industry (preferably networking equipment)
  • Self-starter who has the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to influence and motivate internal and external partners
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and CRM
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including strong proficiency in Excel
  • Experience in Service Logistics or Customer Support, preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce and Service parts planning software a plus

Additional Information

The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $100,000 to $150,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and US location.
