Boeing is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join our team in Las Cruces, NM. This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and refining advanced models and automated strategies in collaboration with mission partners and stakeholders. 

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

• Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

• Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

• Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

• Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

• Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

The successful candidate will have the:

• Ability to lead a team of experts with a diverse expertise, background and objectives to achieve  a common goal of activating and automated strategy.

• Ability to work with users to understand their needs and help them decompose sets for automation.

• Ability to understand complex and diverse sets of requirements, tasking authorities and priorities depending on the scope of the automated strategy.

• Capacity to learn and use scripting and programming tools to create models and automated strategies.

• Initiative to find and explore new and evolving data sets to enable or improve models and strategies.   

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

• Experience with coding/scripting with various languages (MATLAB, Python, Pearl, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience working with space vehicles and related systems

• Creative self starter that is able to work independently to help customers optimize priorities and achieve success

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $90,950 - $123,050
