PDPO (Privacy and Data Protection Office) is the organization to lead, supervise, and empower all TikTok's privacy work in an accountable way and eventually become overall industry leading. This team is the expert in the landscape of privacy risks and passionate about consulting across the company on implementing the proper safeguards and technical mitigations to ensure that our users’ privacy is honored across the TikTok's products and platforms.

We are seeking a Privacy Program Manager to join our Privacy Technical Audit team, to be based in SJ with a focus in Privacy Engineering/Testing and Privacy Audit. You will interact with Product, Engineering, Legal, Business and other Privacy Teams and will play a critical role in upholding the privacy rights of our users, ensuring the protection of their personal information, ensuring compliance with global privacy laws, and promoting the adoption of best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and iterate on workflow for Privacy Technical Audit.
- Set up program management charters, roadmaps, project plans, metrics and report on program's progress to ensure smooth privacy operations and continuous improvement of privacy initiatives.
- Identify and functional product enhancement requirements for Privacy Audit and work with tooling, data science, and other teams to deliver the tooling/reporting enhancements.
- Develop collaboration programs/trainings for products and engineering teams to ensure that they understand the requirements of Privacy Technical Audit and Review and establish a long-term communication channel with critical teams.
- Representing the company on key audits and having the ability to distill and demonstrate company-wide privacy priorities, efforts and their execution in an impactful manner
- Maintain an understanding and awareness of relevant privacy laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices and developments.
- Review and improve program/product controls in partnership with Legal and Product.
- Collaborate on the implementation and maintenance of privacy policies and guidelines, ensuring they are up to date and effective.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years in privacy/security, auditing, consulting, technical program management or industry equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in SDLC with a proven track record of managing privacy/security programs and initiatives.
- Experience working in privacy regulations/legislations at an internal/external auditing capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge of privacy laws, regulations and industry best practices, including GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and HIPAA.
- Proven track record of delivering ambitious programs/organizational change in a technical audit or privacy field.
- Relevant certifications in SDLC process, privacy and data protection (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) are a plus.
