The Quality Inspector independently evaluates and applies standard engineering and inspection techniques, procedures, and criteria, to make recommendations for repairs to customer supplied equipment.  Under supervision, the person in this position will occasionally, in accordance with sound engineering principles and standards make revised or new drawings to modify customer supplied equipment.  Also, lead a team of 2-5 inspectors ensuring standard work and processes are followed.  Making changes and improving practices and procedures ensuring all areas of location are receiving information necessary to provide improvements and rework to customers’ rolls.

Expectations

To excel in the role you should have strong communication skills and be able to interact with internal and external customers. You should have experience working in a manufacturing environment. Quality assurance and engineering experience is a plus. You must have a demonstrated record of accuracy and thoroughness and always look for ways to improve and promote quality. You will also balance a desire to support and work closely with customers along with your passion for development of cutting-edge products.

To succeed in this role you will need

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
