Serco is hiring a Program Director (Operations) to be part of a dynamic team supporting our US. Navy. This position can be located in San Diego, CA or Chesapeake, VA

 

Serco supports our US Naval Ships, Submarines, and Shore Facilities with installations, modifications, and repairs of C5ISR, HM&E, and Combat Systems.  

 

The Program Director (Operations) will focus on supporting the Ship and Submarine Modernization Team in managing contract performance across the entire portfolio supporting multiple customers and geographic locations.

 

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance 

 

This role will require you to be on-site 5 days a week Mon-Fri and will eventually be adjusted to a hybrid schedule

 

In this role you will:

  • Leads and collaborates on operational, organizational, and strategic excellence initiatives.
  • Troubleshoots problems within the group, providing analysis, solution recommendations, and implements change as appropriate.
  • Works with the Project Management teams to ensure task performance meets operational and financial benchmarks.
  • Responsible for developing new business opportunities and enhancements.
  • Develops programs to support company initiatives.
  • Provides established expertise to customers.
  • Maintains relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Creates objectives, policies and strategies designed to achieve the vision of the company.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance 
    • U.S Citizenship required 
  • A Bachelors Degree
    • Or a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 12 years of experience and demonstrated success managing large/complex integrated shipboard installations in lieu of degree 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience and demonstrated success managing large/complex integrated shipboard installations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the leadership team and act as an enabler of key projects and initiatives with a corporate value of over $50M
  • Proven experience in working with or overseeing technology and integration strategies
  • Experience developing and maintaining program plans, operational budgets, and developing and measuring performance objectives
  • Must have excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and highly effective interpersonal skills to carry out daily interactions with technical leaders, customers, teammates/partners, and subcontractors
  • Experience leading a team 
  • Ability to travel 25%

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $158,582.82 to $317,165.63; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
