About the role

The Rock Family of Companies is made up of nearly 100 separate businesses spanning fintech, sports, entertainment, real estate, startups and more. We’re united by our culture – a drive to find a better way that fuels our commitment to our clients, our community and our team members. We believe in and build inclusive workplaces, where every voice is heard and diverse perspectives are welcomed. Working for a company in the Family is about more than just a job – it’s about having the opportunity to become the best version of yourself.

Whether it is investing capital to create additional jobs, bringing new life to a building or activating a public space, our philosophy is simple: effect positive change in Detroit and the communities we call home. Rock is a For-More-Than-Profit organization located in the heart of Detroit. Our mission is to strategically vet and pursue opportunities, align interests and provide key services across the affiliated companies, comprising founder and chairman Dan Gilbert's Rock Family of Companies. As a For-More-Than-Profit organization we believe in doing well by doing good. When it comes to doing well by our team members and the communities we operate in, the question is never “are we doing enough?” The question should always be, “what more can we do?” Our organization seeks to attract diverse talent; engage, develop and retain team members; better engage with the community on issues of race, police brutality, equity and inclusion; and share our commitment so that we can drive the conversation forward.
