Job Description:

Primary Purpose of Role:

The Travel & Expense Manager is responsible for supervising the company’s global travel and expense program, including policy governance, corporate credit card administration, Concur system management, and vendor relationships. This role ensures cost-efficient travel management, robust internal oversight, while maintaining detailed accrual financial reports and improving employee travel satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead company-wide travel & expense policies, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IRS rules and SOX requirements.
  • Coordinate the corporate credit card program (issuance, compliance, reporting, delinquency management).
  • Implement strong internal controls to prevent misuse, fraud, or non-compliance.
  • Lead the global travel program, ensuring policy compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Act as a primary SAP Concur Travel & Expense administrator, with hands-on responsibility for system configuration, workflows, and advanced reporting.
  • Travel Management Company oversight and supplier relationships (airlines, hotels, ground transportation).
  • Lead all aspects of the annual hotel RFP process conducted by a third-party partner, reviewing results and approving proposals.
  • Monitor spend trends, provide dashboards and reporting for Finance leadership, and support monthly close through accruals and reconciliations.
  • Support organizational change for global policy rollouts and the transition to the New Concur platform.
  • Provide mentorship on future regional travel support structures as the program scales.

Qualifications:

  • Proving experience of public company compliance requirements (SOX, audit, tax).
  • 5+ years of corporate/global travel management experience.
  • Previous management or proven experience of leading a team.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage executive leadership.
  • Shown SAP Concur T&E administration expertise (configuration, workflows, troubleshooting, reporting).
  • Strong vendor negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and cost savings initiatives.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Hospitality, or related field (Master’s a plus).
  • SAP Concur Advanced Configuration Certification (plus, not required).
  • GBTA Global Travel Professional (GTP) or Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE).
  • CVENT Supplier Management / hotel sourcing experience.
