Purpose & Objective
As a Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you’ll serve as a visible, approachable, and influential technical leader, ensuring best-in-class process and product quality. You will drive continuous improvement, coach cross-functional teams, and champion quality throughout the product lifecycle—from raw material inspection through to final product delivery.
This role plays a pivotal part in both hands-on engineering and strategic leadership, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to uphold quality standards and support business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in the application, development, and continuous improvement of quality processes, standards, and metrics.
- Lead statistical analysis and implement techniques for quality control and product reliability.
- Design and oversee sampling procedures, inspection routines, and testing protocols.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA), ensuring closed-loop resolution of product and process quality issues.
- Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to assess, improve, and ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Lead and support internal and supplier audits; ensure alignment with ISO 9000 and other regulatory/compliance standards.
- Develop and lead PFMEA activities and Manufacturing Quality Plans for new product introductions (NPI).
- Monitor and analyze key manufacturing metrics to identify trends and implement improvements.
- Act as a technical liaison with global contract manufacturers, supporting audits, quality issue resolution, and regular performance reviews.
- Support new process development, material selection, and quality screening for reliability and performance optimization.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma, APQP, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive systemic process improvements.
