The Healthcare Data Analyst II will be responsible for:
- Researching, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining reporting and analytical facilities in the context of the hospital's clinical and/or financial systems.
- Collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and interpretable.
- Ensuring that analyses and reports provide detailed, specific data regarding performance of individuals, teams, programs, divisions, and the department as a whole.
- Generating reports from a variety of internal and external sources, including benchmarking databases e.g. PHIS, PACT, and specialty-specific registries.
- Performing standardized data validation activities to ensure the highest quality information for decision-making.
- Using visualization tools and techniques creating dashboards and reports for decision-making.
- Building new databases as needed, and maintaining a valid and accurate data repository to ensure availability of required information.
- Advising on the development of data collection and management systems. Defining specifications for key data elements, data collection procedures, and integrity of databases.
- Improving and maintaining the production environment for tasks and applications.
- Providing analyses and reports of performance indicators, providing trended data using statistical process control or other appropriate epidemiological techniques.
- Interpreting data and providing the team with data-driven recommendations.
To qualify you must have:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant Data Analytical field such as Economics, MPH, and Data Analytics Boot Camp is preferred.
- Two years of experience using Data Analytics tools is required, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Proficient in SQL syntax and coding practices.
- Experience with EPIC data models and reporting is preferred
- Experience with dimensional data modeling concepts used in data warehousing, business intelligence and business analytics applications.
- Ability to translate reporting needs expressed in clinical or operational terms to technical solutions based on existing data, data structures and query tool functionality.
- This position is Hybrid, requires two day a week onsite in Boston, MA.
- This position does not offer VISA sponsorship.
