Job Title:

Intelligence Analyst Specialist - Retail Pharmacy Specialty

Job Summary:

Provides leadership on complex projects and interfacing with business or functional area experts. Implements, analyzes, supports, integrates, and maintains applications, databases, and data flows of informatics data, with focus on electronic data capture and survey platforms, cohort discovery tools, virtualization platforms, and other analytics software. Collaborates with users to identify technical and business requirements to solve complex problems. Analyzes and develops informatics system documentation. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. May be responsible for multiple projects or multiple phases of a project. May instruct and direct other applications systems analysis and programming personnel. May have quality assurance review responsibilities.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare, Population Health, Mathematics or a related field and eight (8) years information systems or healthcare related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: 

Epic certification or accreditation in one of the following data models: Clinical Data Model, Access Data Model or Revenue Data Model. If not Epic certified or accredited, must obtain Epic certification or accreditation within 6 months of hire. An Epic assessment will be given to those candidates who pass the initial review step of the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications:

Information systems experience in healthcare or related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of information systems, analysis, and programming. Knowledge of system features and integration capabilities. Knowledge of relational database systems, SQL, java and web application development. Verbal and written communication skills. Analytical, programming, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to perform extract, transform, and load (ETL) data. Ability to create, design, or enhance computer applications. Ability to program, test, debug, document, or install systems. Ability to prepare reports and maintain records and documentation. Interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to perform high level mathematical analysis.

  • Supports data management and analysis, monitors data quality and validation of analytical results, and implements new and improved standards and methods for data analysis and visualization. Keeps abreast of current and new technologies and serves as a resource to other technical staff.
