FTE: 0 Shift: Variable Schedule: 8 hr shifts
Candidate must be able to get to the following hospitals: Allenmore, Tacoma General, Mary Bridge, Good Samaritan (Puyallup), Auburn Medical Center, and Covington Medical Center after a four to six week training at Tacoma General.
Position Summary
The Cook Float is a collaborative member of the Nutrition Services team that follows department recipes and production standards to provide high quality and healthy food in compliance with all food safety regulations for hospital patients, staff, families, and visitors at MultiCare facilities.Responsibilities
You will provide restaurant-style dining while supporting our commitment to using whole, fresh, local, and sustainable products wherever economically possible
You will order supplies, prepare food items, ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are met, and maintain cooler and freeze stocks
You will utilize your strong culinary background in our fast-paced, team-oriented, high volume, and customer service focused environment
You will apply your enthusiastic, food-centric attitude and will possess the ability to collaborate to provide a quality product and exceptional experience for our customers
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Current Washington State Food Handler’s Card required
Serve-Safe certification preferred
Minimum two (2) years cooking experience in casual to fine dining, hotels or healthcare line cook
