About the role

Granger Medical is looking for a full-time Prior Authorization Specialist at our American Fork location.


Overview:

  • The ideal candidate will be confident, self-motivated and above all else compassionate. The Prior Authorization Specialist will be responsible for confirming patient insurance information and obtaining prior authorizations for scheduled procedures.


Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Confirms patient insurance information and obtains prior authorization as required

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Computer background/knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures desirable.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Must possess tact, diplomacy and positive attitude


Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Required lifting up to 10lbs

  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment

  • Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
