Lead Transition Engineer

Reinventing Geospatial (RGi) is a leading geospatial expert working with Defense, Intelligence, and Federal clients to achieve mission success and solutions for varied mission-critical programs. Projects at RGi span a wide range of software and analytical methodologies and lie at the intersection of software development and geospatial intelligence. We work with soldiers and geospatial analysts to produce solutions that allow them to develop better situational understanding of complex operational pictures. We do everything from data collection to UI/UX development and advanced deep learning, using a broad toolset including Python, C#, and ArcGIS. Our projects include cutting-edge R&D efforts, as well as large mission programs incorporating data processing/optimization, data dissemination techniques, visualization, and collaboration across the commercial and government sectors. 
RGi is looking for a talented System Engineer that is passionate about technology and the mission of our customers to join our team! In this role, you will act as the program focal point for the leading the definition and execution of all GIMS transitions (releases / maintenance) as well as coordinating participation in major Enterprise events such (effectivity transitions, site power outages, and critical enterprise remediation activities). 

Responsibilities

• Developing the program's Transition Activity Plan (TAP), providing inputs to the Enterprise TAP (ETAP) and coordinating all technical resources for the event
• Representing the program at numerous ETAP reviews, normally held before any rehearsal event
• Leading the execution of GIMS steps at the multitude of ETAP rehearsals and for the operational event
• Leading support organizations in required database upgrades 
• Documenting detailed transition steps with support from all technical organizations
• Generating status presentations and releases (functional/maintenance) go through numerous practice events
• Capturing and ensuring all actions are closed related to transition event rehearsals

Qualifications

• Technical degree with a BS in a related field
• Proven project engineering skills
• Working knowledge of IT systems (e.g., databases, hardware, networks)
• Experience with AWS and other cloud environments
• Experience on large scale software development programs
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Strong project leadership skills

Additional Skills We’d Like to See:

• Domain expertise with IC community and/or systems that interact with GIMS
• In depth experience with relational database systems
• Experience working with NGA customer and mission partners 

Clearance

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• US Citizenship required
