Benefits to you

  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $27.49 - $42.65.  [OR The annual salary for this position is $57,183 - $88,708.]
  • 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans.
  • OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job!

Location Highlights

Dallas, Oregon, established in 1874, is a small city 15 miles west of Salem (Oregon’s Capital) along Rickreal Creek. The town was named after George M Dallas, the vice president of then President James K Polk, for which the county is named after. The area around Dallas is known for their wines – especially their outstanding pinots. It is also home to Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge. The Polk County Courthouse (tied with Sherman County Courthouse) is the second oldest running courthouse in Oregon – 1899 (an annex was added in 1965).

You will provide courtroom support by taking minutes, preparing judgments and orders, entering data of court events and documents, operating the court’s electronic recorder, and ensuring accurate record of the court proceedings are being created and preserved in accordance with the applicable law, rules, and established business process
