Description
The Part-Time Human Resource Assistant will support the HR Manager with daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruitment, onboarding, administering pay and benefits, maintaining compliance, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a high level of confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate and oversee onboarding to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Conduct orientation sessions and provide necessary resources to new hires.
- Track and document compliance with mandatory and optional training, continuing education, licensure, and certifications.
- Conduct or facilitate background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Assist with administering HR programs such as compensation, benefits, leave, performance management, recognition, and employee relations.
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; review policies and recommend updates as needed.
- Maintain accurate HR records and confidential employee information.
- Provide general HR administrative support and perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to work 20–29 hours per week, Monday–Friday, in a hybrid setting.
Education and Experience:
- 1–2 years of HR experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Paylocity preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
