About the Role Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for a Senior Staff Technical Product Manager to build and deliver our internal systems roadmap, functioning as a generalist to deliver solutions across internal projects such as internal self-service systems, AI chatbot initiatives, IT systems enhancements, and cross-functional technical solutions supporting teams like Revenue, Support, Finance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and other internal operation teams. Systems Engineering is a new and growing organization within Fivetran, charged with designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining the internal systems that power our operations. Our products are systems that support other Fivetranners, and our journey is just beginning! In this role, you’ll also play a critical role in defining systems architecture requirements, ensuring that technical designs align with business processes and scalability needs. This position is ideal for a natural problem solver with a solution-oriented mindset, who excels at considering the interplay of people, processes, and technology to deliver impactful results. This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Technologies You’ll UseYou’ll work with a range of technologies to guide your team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. This includes internal tooling, AI/ML frameworks, product self-service platforms, Salesforce, Finance solutions, and enterprise-grade integration tools. A strong technical foundation is preferred; for example, SQL proficiency, familiarity with general-purpose programming languages, and experience with APIs and systems integrations. What You’ll Do Roadmap Development
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance internal systems and business processes.
- Develop detailed product requirements for projects that fall outside CRM or FinSys directly, such as self-service tools, Customer Support, Legal, HR, AI chatbot initiatives, and internal systems infrastructure improvements.
- Balance the roadmap between delivering new functionality, addressing technical/process debt, and ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and scalability goals.
- Partner with engineering teams to define system architecture requirements that support scalable and efficient integrations between self-service product platforms, CRM, and Finance systems.
- Provide guidance on designing robust system integrations, data flows, and APIs to enable seamless data sharing and process automation across platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and solutions that align with the long-term architectural vision of the organization.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and technical teams to drive the execution of roadmap initiatives.
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and tracking of project timelines and milestones, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Provide hands-on management of critical projects, ensuring they meet goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, CRM, Finance, IT, Legal, HR, and Customer Support to define business requirements and align on project goals.
- Establish clear communication frameworks to ensure alignment on expectations, progress, and feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, particularly within self-service and systems integration projects.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by iterating on tools, workflows, and best practices.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for the systems you own, using data insights to guide prioritization and evaluate project impact.
- Analyze the outcomes of system enhancements and integrations, providing detailed reports to stakeholders on health and progress.
- 8+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, or similar role.
