Job Description

Responsibilities

As part of the Group Strategic Investment team, the incumbent will be required to:

  • Assist with the strategic review  and manage the assessment and execution of corporate actions and mergers and acquisitions transactions
  • Manage the execution of transaction activities including but not limited to strategy review, transaction structuring, feasibility studies & pricing, due diligence, negotiation with counter-parties on key terms, legal documentation review, financing and regulatory and internal approvals
  • Conduct regular reviews and internal updates of peers and potential strategic investment opportunities globally
  • Co-ordinating discussions with investment banks and brokers and maintaining pipeline of opportunities globally
  • Liaise with both external consultants and internal departments as part of supporting the transaction activities to enhance value, optimise exit options, manage legal positions/obligations and ensure tax efficiencies
  • Independently conduct company research and valuation, compile financial data, develop financial models, perform financial and operational analysis and prepare presentation materials for discussions/presentation to senior management & Board
  • Provide guidance to juniors on company analysis, valuation and financial modelling 
  • Provide timely capital market developments (M&A, IPO) updates in the relevant industry globally
  • Undertake other ad hoc responsibilities as assigned, including strategic analysis and co-ordination on corporate initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy / Finance / Business Administration or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in REITs transactions, M&A, corporate transaction and/or corporate finance related work would be preferred
  • Broad knowledge of M&A, capital market, direct real estate and REIT transaction
  • Numerically competent and able to independently develop complex financial models and conduct financial analysis and valuation
  • Possesses strong analytical, research, problem solving skills and communication skills
  • Professionally mature to handle interaction with senior management
  • Able to prioritize and manage internal as well as external stakeholders well
  • Respond well to changing circumstances and tight timelines
