Manager, Net Revenue Management 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Manager, Net Revenue Management, are to:

 

  • Identify, develop, and recommend net revenue growth opportunities across Bayer brands/categories through to the customer. Focus areas include, but are not limited to, Assortment, Pack/Price Architecture, Promotional and trade structures and evaluations, and key concepts of Gross-to-Net, pricing and promotional policies, product mix, and total brand spend;
  • Support and occasionally lead project teams to drive end-to-end NRM (Net Revenue Management) content development by applying NRM methodologies, guiding iteration of analyses, identifying opportunities, and developing actionable recommendations;
  • Pressure-test solutions, build on analyses, challenge, and improve assumptions and methodology and guide detailed analyses, modeling, and sizing of opportunities;
  • Develop insights and recommendations to Bayer senior leaders and Brand Pod leaders to influence stakeholders across functions, lead decision-making and activate Net Revenue Management opportunities;
  • Support implementation of NRM initiatives, working cross-functionally to translate NRM initiatives into a concrete action plans and achievable solutions; work with Brand Pod Leaders to integrate initiatives within broader Bayer trade program;
  • Develop and maintain expertise in NRM methodologies, processes, analyses, and outputs and translate that to other members of the organization;
  • Work closely with Advanced Analytics & Insights team to develop & implement predictive analytic tools.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Finance, Economics or related quantitative field required;
  • Experience with syndicated data (such as IRI or Nielsen) in a CPG/OTC category required;
  • Strong analytical background with demonstrated ability to provide actionable recommendations;
  • Ability to manage and drive complex analytics, including manipulation of large amounts of data;
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, with ability to influence key stakeholders;
  • Strong sense of autonomy and drive, entrepreneurial mindset and "can do" attitude;
  • Builds effective teams, cultivates innovation, learning and change agility, customer focus, action oriented/drives results, collaborates globally and locally, plans & aligns, drives stakeholder engagement, effectively manages suppliers;
  • Excellent financial management skills to critically assess strategic goals and cost investments versus results; ability to streamline operational processes;
  • Experience in promotion effectiveness and continual improvement on ROIs (Return on Investments);
  • Understand the customer and the marketplace;
  • Exceptional knowledge of retailer landscape and how to impact the total market;
  • Understand the impact of individual decisions to Bayer’s total business and relevant long-term implications;
  • Sales experience with key retailers required;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Able to deliver clear and concise presentations, actionable direction and work well within a matrixed team environment;
  • Proven success with one-on-one customer negotiations;
  • Proven ability to develop win-win solutions to complex situations;
  • Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills demonstrated through multi-task problem solving and practical judgment;
  • Tech/digital savvy: Robust analytical capabilities across a variety of data sources and platforms with ability to execute sales planning activities;
  • Advanced computer literacy skill required, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • 8+ years’ experience working with pricing, promotion, and financial data;
