Sr. Project Leader

Corning Optical Communications LLC seeks Sr. Project Leader to work in Keller, Texas. Sets project scope, resources & inter-dependencies w/ other projects. Conducts risk analysis & develops risk mitigation & contingency plans to minimize effects to schedule & project delivery. Identifies failure modes & effects to drive optimal design for performance balanced w/ cost & manufacturability. Product & process technical design & identify mismatches w/ market needs. 25% domestic & international travel (Mexico, Poland, Germany). Required: Bachelor’s in industrial, mechanical, electronic or manufacturing engineering. 4 yrs exp. w/: Product development & design on fiber optic connectivity of indoor applications (e.g. modules, harnesses, & jumper cable assemblies) & outdoor applications (e.g. frames, cabinets, or high fiber-count cable assemblies); Process development & design of manufacturing connectorization processes (e.g. connector assembly, polishing, or testing for Optical connectors for mass production); coordinating new product introduction tasks for the launch of multiple products in multiple locations at once; defining & executing  product  testing plans & design analysis for optical product assemblies. 2 yrs exp: process development & design of: state of the art fiber assembly production lines & automated equipment for processing & testing optical components.
