So what will you be doing all day? You would join our Community Sector as an Electrical Designer/Engineer working on things like…
• Performing advanced calculations and designs engineering systems with a high degree of independence
• Leading design from concept to substantial completion
• Preparing basic to advanced system layouts, detailed drawings and schematics
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications
• Lead multi-disciplinary project design teams and supports technical oversight
• Perform research and makes recommendations as to the feasibility of systems or equipment. Evaluates products for their application
• Assist with developing, establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and customers in support of business development and/or pursuit activities - help continue the growth and development of an emerging Practice in a quickly evolving industry of supply chain warehousing
• Mentoring and training junior level engineers - this person will be a technical resource to assure that top quality is being met
• Providing technical design guidance and quality control on assigned projects such as installation of new technologies surrounding ecommerce fulfillment, automated material and cold storage
• Assisting in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings, and for renovations and additions to existing facilities as needed
• Developing and maintaining internal project schedules, design budgets and contracts as needed
• Providing coordination of project designs with other disciplines
• Communicating effectively with clients and being an outward facing member of the design team
• Traveling to in and out of state project sites on an as needed basis
We'd love for you to apply for this position if you…
• Have a degree in Architectural or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Possess at least 7-10+ years of experience in electrical design on commercial building projects
• Have a PE license (preferred)
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards required, as well as a broad understanding of other engineering disciplines.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit required and Bluebeam Revu preferred
• Are experienced communicating with external clients and customers and basic project management responsibilities
• Enjoy training and mentoring electrical staff
• Have advanced proficiency in technical knowledge, the A&E industry, building electrical and energy codes, and standards relating to a broad range of practice, project, or program types
• Are experienced in a variety of commercial project types
• Possess excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Have the ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design
