ASRC Federal is seeking a Vice President, Enterprise Business Systems to join our internal IT organization located at our headquarters in Reston, VA.
The expectation is that the VP would live within a commutable distance to our Reston office to work on site approximately four days a week.
This role is a strategic and technically hands-on IT executive responsible for the architecture, development, integration, and optimization of enterprise application platforms. Reporting to the CIO, this leader drives end-to-end ownership of systems such as ERP, CRM, HCM, Finance, and other key business platforms. Accountable for delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that meet the evolving needs of a dynamic enterprise, while remaining closely engaged in architecture decisions, systems design, data flow optimization, and integration strategy.
Key Role: Serve as a key member of the senior IT leadership team, contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring the Enterprise Business Systems strategy is fully aligned, positioning the Business Systems group to deliver compelling business value. • Technical Ownership & Architecture: Lead the enterprise business systems architecture, with deep involvement in designing, configuring, integrating, and operating the following platforms. Ensure scalable, modular architectures that support extensibility and performance.
◦ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (e.g., Costpoint, SAP Concur),
◦ Customer Relationship Management/Contract Lifecycle management (CRM/CLM) (e.g., TechnoMile Growth Platform),
◦ Human Capital Management (HCM) (e.g., Dayforce),
◦ Business Intelligence Data Architecture (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau and Cognos), and
◦ Supply Chain & Logistics (SC&L) (e.g., Etendo, SOCS, MultiView).
• Hands-On Leadership: Remain actively engaged in technical solutioning, particularly for critical projects, system design reviews, platform upgrades, and major integrations. Set engineering best practices for application development, configuration, and support.
• System Integration & Data Flow: Oversee the enterprise integration landscape, including middleware, APIs, and data pipelines. Ensure seamless data exchange between core systems and external platforms. Mature and drive execution of the business systems data strategy and architecture.
• Platform Lifecycle Management: Direct all aspects of enterprise systems management, including implementation, upgrades, patching, license management, and vendor coordination. Maintain system uptime, performance SLAs, and compliance standards.
• Application Strategy: Define and execute the roadmap for enterprise applications in alignment with business needs and IT strategy. Identify legacy technical debt and lead modernization initiatives.
• Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing team of application engineers, developers, analysts, and solution architects. Promote a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all enterprise systems meet rigorous security standards, comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., DoD CMMC, ISO27001, FISMA, etc.), and follow established governance protocols.
• Collaboration & Communication: Act as a key liaison between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with operational objectives and delivering measurable value.
• Vendor & SaaS Management: Manage vendor contracts, performance, and relationships for enterprise SaaS solutions. Participate directly in RFPs, system evaluations, and implementation oversight.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive IT experience, including deep technical experience with enterprise systems, and at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience with one or more major ERP platforms (e.g., Costpoint, SAP S/4HANA), as well as CRM and HCM systems.
• Experience in system integrations, API development, and enterprise middleware platforms.
• Proven expertise in leading both packaged software and custom application development efforts.
