Business Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Business Analyst is responsible for providing information and insights regarding markets, competitors, customers and marketing campaign effectiveness to measure performance and support business decisions. Additionally, responsible for managing and tracking the departmental budget.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize data to understand trends and opportunities.
• Assist in the development of competitive market assessments, strategic business plans, and assist in using data to establish strategic and tactical plans.
• Provide ROI analysis using analytics software or other available data.
• Develop pipeline analytics to measure; number of deals in individual pipelines, average size of the deal, lead to customer conversion ratio, and sales velocity.
• Bottom-up build of annual budgets for business development.
• Monthly financial preparation, analysis, and discussion with executives and all direct reports with P&L responsibility.
• Provide assistance to track and analyze various cost components of budget – especially as it relates to salaries and benefits, marketing, trade shows, etc.
• Financial analysis for top 30 customers that will be included in playbook profiles – initial development and on-going updates, as requested.
• Monthly updates to dashboard – including new business wins (known, unknown and carryover), existing customer losses (known, unknown and carryover), contract concessions and scope changes.
• Updating and publishing of all business development scorecards to BD teams – including win revenue, win EBITDA, T&E, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a closely related field
• 1 - 3 years’ relevant experience

Preferred:

• Exceptional knowledge of marketing, sales, and business processes
• Strong project management, business writing and reporting skills
• Solid business acumen, management, analytical and problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
