Pratt & Whitney Large Commercial Engines (LCE) is comprised of the Mature Commercial Engines Program (MCE), Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) Programs, PW Materials, Spares, and Aftermarket organizations. The CE Accounting and Controls group is responsible for supporting the global Accounting and Controls framework for the organization.
The Controls Accountant will be responsible for the oversight and governance of the CE control environment and ensuring compliance with GAAP, RTX and P&W policies and procedures. The Controls Accountant will also partner with the various organizations providing guidance on technical, policy and control-related matters; including sharing best practices across the network where appropriate.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and record closing related activities, such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and other monthly/quarterly/annual closing deliverables.
- Provide support of the Sarbanes Oxley control environment for all units, including monitoring and reporting of control-related issues and helping ensure compliance to P&W policies & procedures
- Support annual SOX controls reporting and testing
- Collaborate with LCE and AMO for any audit, assessment, or process review requests
- Prepare presentations for Compliance Council, Quarterly Management Rep Letter, Quarterly Internal Controls meetings and gather status updates from the organizations with internal audits and accounting control assessments
- Prepare and consolidate standard work across accounting and controls activities and processes
- Identify and execute process improvements by utilizing technology (e.g. Business Warehouse, Qlik, HFM Adhoc queries, SharePoint, etc.) to enhance financial analyses and identify process efficiencies
- Support special projects
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize projects while delivering quality work timely
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in SAP, HFM/OneStream, Business Warehouse (BW), O365, Archer
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals across all levels of an organization, including executive management

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
