Job Description

Are you a technology-focused Project Manager with a passion for innovation and a proven ability to deliver complex projects on schedule and within budget? If so, we’d love to have you join our team.

 

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Project Manager to support operations within our Minotaur software business group.  You will work in a remote environment with potential occassional travel as needed.  

 

In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams in delivering advanced technology solutions that support our national defense customers. You will collaborate closely with product development, engineering design, and quality assurance teams to ensure projects meet the highest standards and fully align with customer requirements related to the Minotaur software suite. Minotaur integrates data from a variety of sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft, enhancing operators’ ability to identify and track targets across sea and land. The software is used across branches of the U.S. military and government agencies.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Identify and manage projects risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Communicate project progress, status, and issues to stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team
  • Ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Experience using JIRA (or a similar project management tool) for project tracking, task management, workflow monitoring, and reporting.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams 
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or a technology related field
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) 
  • PMP Certification 
  • An active US Secret clearance
