Production Scheduler

The Production Scheduler will schedule all production in accordance with customer orders and ensures adequate supply of raw materials to meet production demands.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares production schedules considering factors of capacity planning, labor, waste, and quality standards.
• Assigns start date/time and end date/time for production jobs and process operations.
• Expedites and adjusts work schedules to meet customer demands.
• Accurately tracks and reports status of orders to sales department.
• Prints production work orders.
• Directs daily production meetings.
• Collects data, creates, and maintains various reports concerning plant production and schedule attainment.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 3-5 years of prior scheduling experience
• Strong background in MS Word and Excel, as well as demonstrated proficiency with manufacturing scheduling systems: MRP/ERP systems
• SAP experience is a plus
• Metal Fabrication experience is a plus
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• APICS certification is a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Detail orientated
