What you will do: This is a highly responsible position requiring supervisory, administrative and management expertise to guide the delivery of services for families and adults in Adult Protective Services Programs within Circuit 13 Hillsborough County in accordance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations, and regional procedures. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administrative supervision and coordination of all direct service operations related to the assigned service or program area including the direct supervision and appraisal of the performance of line supervisors for protective investigations and front line staff for protective services and interventions programs, and reviewing the performance of direct service staff. Appropriate delegation of authority to line supervisors and the review/approval of personnel actions and assignments made by them. Provision of direct consultation to supervisors during the personnel recruitment process.
Management of the program and administrative functions of assigned departmental services units including the assessment of service utilization effectiveness, development and monitoring of corrective action plans and directing intra-program coordination to insure timely and effective service delivery. Assisting in case management decisions, when necessary, through coordination with district program office staff, attendance at programmatic meetings, and individual case staffing’s. Participation in management and operations meetings to present service area issues and input into administrative decisions regarding overall operational needs. Efficient and equitable distribution and control of allocated service area staff, facilities, supplies, and equipment. Participates in fiscal meetings for allocating and reviewing status of available resources and expenditures.
Community and service delivery coordination through identification of gaps in service provision and collaborating in the development of resources to meet identified needs. Inputting to district administration as to resource needs. Development of working agreements/relationships and effective service coordination among departmental program units, other human service agencies, and the general community regarding departmental programs. Investigation and response relative to services provided and taking necessary corrective action when indicated.
Direct provision or arrangement for the provision of staff development, training, and programmatic or administrative technical assistance to staff to ensure the opportunity of meeting their fullest performance potential.
Complies with and monitors compliance of District Operating Procedure 70-1, Building Managers. A building Manager's principal responsibility is to coordinate and oversee the activities and responsibilities indicated in this procedure which will facilitate the safe and efficient operation of the assigned a facility. The Building Manager is responsible for ensuring building security , and for taking appropriate actions outlined in the site safety plan should a problem arise.
Participation in available workgroups and training; providing an opportunity to increase professional knowledge, skills and abilities.
This position will serve as the official Single Point of Contact, which is designated to coordinate the provision of auxiliary aids and services to the deaf or hard of hearing. The position will be responsible for the following: 1. Collect data on the effectiveness and appropriateness of the auxiliary aid or service provided and the performance of the interpreter provided on the Customer Feedback Form. 2. Keep records of the appropriate auxiliary aides and services on the Auxiliary Aide/Services Record as each service is provided. 3.
