Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Program Director –Dental Assisting Program to join our team.
This position will work with and functions under the supervision of the Campus Program Director and Director of Dental assisting and Allied Health.
Ensuring and maintenance of compliance with Dental Board of California, ACCSC, BPPE, DOE and Title IV approval, accreditation, regulations and policies. Ensure orientation to dentists who provide extramural clinical practice Ensure extramural dental facilities are visited at least once every ten clinical days. Ensure written contracts/affiliations with extramural clinical facilities Monitoring of staff and student performance, motivating and advising students and staff as needed Maintenance of student and faculty files Monitor ongoing quality and performance of the program Participate/Facilitate at minimum an annual Program Advisory Committee Meetings Other duties as assigned.
Pay is based on experience and education combined with a range of $65-70k annual
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above; Dentist preferred
- Hold a valid, active, and current license issued by the Board or the Dental Hygiene Committee of California
- Licensed or permitted for a minimum of two years, and possess experience in the subject matter he or she is teaching
- RDA (Registered Dental Assistant with California Board of Dentistry)
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant with Dental Assisting National Board) Completion of a course or certification in educational methodology of at least 30 hours unless
- Holds a postgraduate degree in education o Holds a Ryan Designated Subjects Vocational Education Teaching credential
- Holds a Standard Designated Subjects Teaching Credential
- Holds a Community College Teaching Credential
- Prior teaching or related field experience
