Lead inspector (Production floor)

Talent Responsibilities

Check parts asper the inspection/test planMake decision on acceptance or rejection of inspection lotsDocumentation of the test results and decisions according to the test plan/reaction planCommunicates with production and quality personnel to maintain good workflow Ensures all specifications are met and critical features are inspected in accordance with the appropriate inspection criteriaEnters jobs into SAP as requiredFollows ANSI Z14 or similar sampling plansIdentifies discrepancies and proactively seeks further clarification when neededIdentifies opportunity for improvementNotifies supervisor or other personnel of issues as they arise Performs inspection of component parts and assemblies against documented requirements Performs visual and magnification inspection of components (cables as needed) assuring that all dimensions are in accordance with applicable drawing/specificationsReads Blue Prints and inspects to tolerances of +/- 0001” Rejects product or materials, or equipment not meeting specificationsTrains other inspectors or assemblers as directed Performs all other relevant duties as assigned Provides work direction to others performing inspection tasks Interfaces with other inspectors and departments to maintain good work flow and job prioritizationWorks closely with Engineer and Space team as needed

Talent Profile

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Formal technical skills training/schooling, required
Minimum 5 years inspection experience with technical products required

Skills:
Basic computer skills
Strong understanding of inspection techniques and methods
Attention to detail
Capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel
Effective written and oral English communication
Must have ability to read, understand, and explain engineering drawings/assembly instructions in English
Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO quality standards and Quality System Regulation
Tools: Digital calliper, digital micrometer, microscope, and plating verification equipment

Personal Qualifications:
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks
Understanding of other cultures

Physical/Mental Abilities:
Must have the physical and mental abilities needed to perform all essential tasks listed; reasonable accommodations may be made to help the job holder perform essential tasks
Must be able to work well and respond well under sometimes stressful and demanding work conditions

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the pay range for this role in New Jersey is $29.46 - $36.09 per hour.
