Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President - Financial Planning & Analysis, this position will be responsible for compiling, analyzing and reporting financial data and actual performance trends in support of timely and accurate Leonardo DRS corporate consolidated financial statement development, quarterly reporting, disclosures and associated audit support. The Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis will also lead the maturation of corporate financial reporting processes and the development of best practices that ensure efficient and effective execution. This role will support to the corporate financial leadership team and have direct engagement with each of the business units.
Job Responsibilities
• Collect and review financial information from various sources across the corporation and its business units.
• Prepare and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to support financial reporting need – both GAAP and IFRS
o Utilize and maintain financial systems, databases and spreadsheets.
• Prepare detailed internal financial reports, inclusive of analysis, variance explanations and assessments/recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the enterprise to gather relevant information for financial reporting.
• Interpret and analyze financial information posted to the general and sub ledgers.
• Identify and resolve problems, sometimes highly complex, through relentless root cause and corrective action implementation.
• Assess the needs of the corporation, prioritize projects and drive reporting requirements to completion.
• Manage deadlines and meet them with quality and accuracy.
• Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
• Provide interdepartmental assistance to the VP Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Controller, Assistant Controller and Senior Director of SEC reporting on key deliverables, both recurring and ad hoc as requested.
• Review existing processes and recommend new methods and procedures related to the financial reporting and analysis function.
• Play a crucial role in assessing existing financing reporting and analysis tools, propose enhanced and/or new digital solutions and engage in associated systems project work and implementations.
• Provide support to internal and external audit teams - and external consultants as required.
• Responsible for the employment, training motivation and discipline of direct reports.
• Lead, support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Qualifications
• 8+ years relevant financial reporting experience, defense industry experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
