Department Overview
The Global Marketing Operations team is responsible for the management, measurement, and tracking of marketing strategies and tactics supporting the business and sales objectives for the company. This team is responsible for the prudent and thoughtful use of various marketing technologies to drive engagement and interest in our solutions with our customers. The team manages not only our digital web properties but also the entire MarTech stack, including the marketing automation platform that our marketers rely on for efficient campaign management and event management technology. This function is part of the Worldwide Operations team.
Job Description
Motorola Solutions is looking for an experienced Event Technologist to join the Global Marketing Operations and Analytics team to develop, manage, and implement the Event Technology portfolio. This individual will be closely aligned with the Customer Experiences & Events Team and will focus on overseeing and managing our Cvent contract, evaluating inclusions, vetting additional platforms, building registration sites, reporting, and mobile apps. Occasional onsite support with travel may be required (2-3 times/year).
The Event Technologist is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Development and implementation of event technology strategy, to include, but not limited to, Cvent and iCapture
Development and implementation of event technology integration across various platforms
Researching, evaluating, and recommending new technologies and technology vendors to support event needs
Working cross-functionally with the Customer Experiences & Events team to identify, scale, produce, and execute event technology solutions
Partnering with Customer Experiences & Events team to define metrics and develop registration and onsite management/reporting that gathers metrics from conception to reconciliation, including data flow integrations
Development of registration technology process, backend structure, and data management needs
Building of registration sites and mobile app to include reporting including post-event KPIs, email builds, testing, trouble-shooting, and deployments
As needed, travel onsite to events to oversee mobile app implementation and onsite registration needs (2-3 times/year)
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or alternatively extensive event technology experience
5+ years of proven Cvent experience (including backend administrative management and registration site and mobile app builds) and familiarity with other event technologies
Solid background in project management and working with a global events team
Self-starter who quickly and proactively solves challenges with minimum guidance and direction
Thrives in fast-paced work environment
Ability to travel, estimated at 5%, including on weekends, as needed, for onsite event operation
