Senior Java Developer

<p><span>Main Responsibilities</span></p><ul><li><p>Work as a contributing member in a multi-disciplined agile scrum team.</p></li><li><p>Develop a good understanding software module with respect to design, code structures, quality, functional and non-functional perspective with guidance</p></li><li><p>Learn and follow best practices to ensure quality of software being developed with adequate level of unit, component, and end-to-end testing where applicable.</p></li><li><p>Work collaboratively with team members spread across different geographical locations.</p></li><li><p>Develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the high-quality standard services</p></li><li><p>Implementation of quality controls (unit, functional and regression testing)</p></li><li><p>Identifies and implements improvements to code</p></li><li><p>Maintenance and support of the existing product, provide 3rd line support if require.</p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrates knowledge of technologies within LSEG and how they relate to various parts of the business.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develops tools and applications by producing clean and efficient code, may also review others' code when required.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Manages own workload and promotes an inclusive and open culture</span></p></li><li><p><span>Executes on the delivery of given tasks with some guidance and oversight.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Builds trusting relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with team. Communicates with clarity and precision in a concise format.</span></p></li></ul><p><br/><span><span>Required Skills</span></span></p><ul><li><p>10+ years Java development experience.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of Java &amp; Multi-Threading, socket programming, concurrent and reactive programming.</p></li><li><p><span>MS, Messaging &amp; Caching technologies (Preferred any one of Kafka/ActiveMQ/IBM MQ, Redis/Memcached)</span></p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Linux, TCP/IP is a plus</p></li><li><p>Very good knowledge on software engineering principles, applications, and design patterns</p></li><li><p>Experience in building re-usable code, defining and implementing software engineering standard methodologies &amp; code frameworks.</p></li><li><p>Experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery</p></li><li><p>Fair knowledge in Mock frameworks such as Mokito, JMokit ,and  Junit,TestNG or a similar unit test framework.</p></li><li><p>Experience of Git &amp; CI tools.</p></li></ul><p><span><span>Personal skills &amp; capabilities</span></span></p><ul><li><p>Excellent communication skills</p></li><li><p>Strong great teammate, problem solver, a self-sufficient individual with an ability to be constructively address issues</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Benefits</b></p><p></p><p>We are looking for intellectually curious people, passionate about the bigger picture of how technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios!
