  About the Role   Fivetran aims to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. As a group product manager for the connectors team at Fivetran, you will both improve our industry-leading portfolio of data connectors and manage a team of people who are helping to drive that alongside you. You will be a player / coach starting with two direct reports (more depending on company growth) while also driving forward your own initiatives.  You’ll be a product leader who collaborates across the company to meet measurable key objectives strategically and effectively alongside your team.   This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland office.   What You'll Do
  • Build and manage the product strategy and roadmap for different database systems
  • Set annual and quarterly goals for yourself and the team and track deliverables and results
  • On-board and grow product managers with coaching, resources and feedback
  • Perform in-depth customer research and data analysis to identify opportunities for your product area and coach your team to do the same
  • Prioritize and define major initiatives to improve the value of Fivetran’s connectors for all personas in the Fivetran customer base
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, design, and business leads on features and projects
  • Evangelize the success of your (and your teams’) initiatives
Skills We're Looking For
  • Experience in databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.), data movement (real-time replication or ETL/ELT), multiple clouds (AWS, Azure Google, Alibaba), cloud analytics destinations (Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, RDS, Synapse, BigQuery, etc.), SQL and API technologies
  • Passion for expanding and developing a team of A+ product managers
  • Ability to analyze user data and research and extract business requirements from multiple stakeholders and transform them into usable and elegant product specifications
  • Technically fluent and able to collaborate easily with engineers to accomplish multiple projects
  • Highly collaborative cross-functionally and within product organization
  • Strong analytical skills, including basic SQL scripting
  • Proven track record running successful, high ROI initiatives
  • Have a user focused mindset; deeply empathetic to customer needs
  • Embody our product team values of Curiosity, Ownership, Collaboration, Kindness, and Integrity.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience covering database design (CAP, row vs columnar, etc), networking, servers, and cloud, data types, storage, and evaluation
  • Developed industry-leading products that have gained product loyalty
  • Experience as a data analyst, data engineer, data scientist, or software engineer
  • Familiarity with leading user research discussions
  • History of working in a high-growth company

This range represents base salary only and does not include incentive for sales roles, equity, or  benefits, if applicable. 


Pay Range$176,800—$221,000 USD
