Position Summary

Under the direction of a Research Coordinator or PI, participates in moderately complex clinical research study activities; performs a variety of duties involved in the collection, documentation, and reporting of clinical research data such as screening, shipping samples, and extracting data.

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists clinical research coordinators with management of clinical trials, including: screening, enrolling, preparing informed consent packets, extracting data accurately from source documents and reporting in various data entry systems within protocol specified deadlines, routinely ensuring timely completion of all protocol requirements.
  • Assists clinical staff with consenting participants for non-therapeutic clinical trials; assists clinical staff in administering patient reported outcome surveys and other participant questionnaires.
  • Assists with study sample tracking and shipping.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by research team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective organization skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs and systems.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
  • Two years of administrative or research experience.
  • Associate degree or two years of college may substitute for experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirements). Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.

Salary Range

$18.84 - $28.29 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
