About the role

Job Summary

Momentum is introducing the Social Responsibility Lead as part of our Product/Service Lead Assignments. This assignment is intended for internal candidates who have reached at least Level 3 in their respective role and are looking to shape and advance Momentum’s social responsibility services. The Social Responsibility Lead will guide Momentum’s approach to Community Benefits Planning (CBP) and other related initiatives, enhancing both the demand for and capability to deliver these services. This role is a pilot assignment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Social Responsibility Lead will leverage client work to develop sales collateral and educational materials that highlight the benefits and advantages of social responsibility initiatives, including Community Benefits Planning (CBP). The Lead will work to create a replicable and scalable framework that enables team members across Momentum to effectively deliver these services. This framework will empower Momentum’s staff to implement social responsibility solutions consistently, enhancing the company’s ability to meet client needs and advance Momentum’s mission.

Activities may include:

  • Identify gaps in Momentum’s current service and product offerings consistent with client needs.
  • Identify market opportunities and develop relevant new social responsibility products and services, including Task Order detail and resource requirements.
  • Solicit feedback from the teams performing and selling the social responsibility work and adjust products and services as needed.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) associated with social responsibility products and services.
  • Work with Managers and Individual Contributors to provide training to scale the number of team members prepared to support the social responsibility products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Staffing Lead to indicate which team members are prepared for specific social responsibility products and services.
  • Work with Momentum’s Contractor Lead to identify additional external resources (individual contractors or partner organizations) that can be called upon to support Momentum’s social responsibility products and services.
  • Work with the Client Experience Team to support business development efforts to build a portfolio around social responsibility products and services.

Pilot Success Factors

The success of this Pilot will be evaluated on a quarterly basis throughout 2025. During the Pilot period, the following performance indicators will be used to measure progress and impact: 

  • Develop a methodology for social responsibility and deliver an outline of the necessary collateral for sales and delivery by the end of Q1 2025.
  • Develop tools, resources, and collateral for training and supporting pre-capture strategists in social responsibility products and services by the end of Q2 2025.
  • Develop collateral, knowledge transfer, and sales materials about social responsibility products and services for Client Managers by the end of Q2 2025.
  • Conduct an internal staff training on social responsibility services by the end of Q3 2025. 
  • Support at least 4 Momentum team members in delivering social responsibility services by the end of Q4 2025.
  • Work with the Operations Team, Principal Strategist of Pre-Capture, and Client Management Team to track new contracts that are primarily for social responsibility services.
  • Demonstrate traction for the social responsibility services by supporting 10 clients with standalone services by the end of Q4 2025, meaning that these services are contracted independently of another service like a general pre-capture contract or an existing GMS Tech Transfer scope.
